The Blood Covenant

God made a blood covenant with all mankind; to make it possible for men to have a relationship with God and be free from sin. The blood covenant is the most powerful contract ever. It is a “blood contract” that must never be broken. God bound himself to us through this blood covenant. That means He must fulfill all the provisions of the contract which He spelled out in the Bible. Forgiveness of our sins, salvation, healing, protection, prosperity, peace, joy and more. And what does he require of us? Faith, trust, love and obedience to the word of God. We must also consider ourselves bound to God through this covenant, as it is a relationship. We Must be fully committed to Him. What a generous God we serve.

God subjected himself through Jesus to the most brutal treatment and  horrific death by crucifixion, to pay for our sins and wrong doing. Jesus basically said “take me instead of them”, I will pay the price for their sin. Also, it was a price we do not have the ability to pay. Impossible to pay! All he asks is we believe in what he did for us and repent of our sins. That is the measure of faith he has given to all men, to believe in Him. Then faith grows through the word of God. Faith is our positive response to what the Lord has already done for us. For anyone to say “I don’t believe in Jesus” is to be totally ignorant of the facts and to reject God’s personal sacrifice of his own blood on our behalf. That person has justly condemned themselves to eternal torment. Now days we hear so much about our freedom to chose. “It’s my choice, I have the right to make my own choices” Well God did create us with the freedom of choice, so that our choice to believe in Him and trust him would have great value. So when a person chooses NOT to believe in God or His incredible sacrifice to redeem us from eternal darkness and torment, who is to blame? Certainly not God, He did everything he could to keep us out of Hell. He doesn’t want anybody to go there; but if we reject his plan for salvation then who is to blame?

How foolish does this sound? Someone comes to you and offers to give you everlasting life in a paradise you can’t even imagine and all you have to do is say “Yes I except it, I’ll take it. I BELIEVE”!  But you say “I don’t know, I’m not sure I like that plan, I don’t know if I really want to believe”. REALLY?!!!

It’s hard to believe that anybody who knew the facts would choose to reject God’s offer of eternal paradise and condemn themselves to eternal Hell. Many are very mistaken in thinking that because they don’t believe something that it has no bearing on them. The problem is when it comes to what God says – no one is exempt, whether you believe it or not it totally affects you.

The Apostle Paul stated that “if there is anyone who has not believed our gospel, it is because the god of this world, satan, has blinded their eyes and their heart. So seeing they don’t see and hearing they don’t hear.

So, when prating for the lost we must first take authority over the demonic veil of darkness and deception the devil has over their eyes and heart. Break the power of it and loose them in the name of Jesus. Command their eyes to be opened and their hearts to be changed, that they may come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved.

Choose Wisely!

To really understand the essence and nature of a blood covenant I recommend reading the booklet by E. W. Kenyon, The Blood Covenant. Very powerful, and enlightening.
